Conserving the past to inform the future
The main Museum is located on Platform 2 at Sheffield Park. If you arrive at Sheffield Park and enter the station platform via the Booking Hall the Museum entrance is almost immediately opposite you on Platform 2 (the other platform). You will need to cross to Platform 2 via the footbridge which is to your left. If you arrive at Sheffield Park by train you may be on Platform 1 or Platform 2. If on Platform 1, the platform with the shop and restaurant, you will need to cross the footbridge. You will find the Museum entrance under the canopy on Platform 2. At Horsted Keynes the Carriage Works has a visitor centre displaying details of the work being done to restore the rolling stock used on the Bluebell Railway. Historical information is also provided charting the development of coaches and wagons. At Kingscote the Goods Yard at the north end of the station is being recreated to represent a typical wayside station goods yard of the 1950/60s. Click the buttons for more information. |
